Julie played junior golf since age 5 and later went on play on the women’s golf team at SMU.  She spent almost two decades in CPG, retail, and customer marketing on the corporate side at Frito Lay and on the agency side, leading Plano-based Propac Agency. Julie credits working alongside marketing and sales leaders in the talent-rich PepsiCo organization as the greatest training ground for the first chapter of her career.

She learned the ropes of customer marketing, in Bentonville AR calling on Walmart and eventually expanded across all CPG retail channels working on collaborative marketing programming for CPG suppliers tailored to their top retail customers.

Julie left her CPG Marketing career in 2022 to join the family business, leading the next generation of Chisum Sports. She has a passion for hosting groups, bringing people together, making people feel comfortable & creating connections.  You can listen to Julie’s love for connecting with people on the podcast she co-hosts called Leading People.  She and mike live in Plano, TX with their three kids, Connor (17), Kate (15) and Kamryn (11).
